Christer Svanberg

Christer Svanberg is the Managing Director and one of the founders of Hægland & Svanberg. With extensive experience in accounting and financial advisory services, he primarily assists professional investment companies and Family Offices, with a particular focus on tax assessments related to investments. He also provides strategic accounting advice for real estate, membership organizations, and foundations.

From 2016 to 2024, Christer served as a quality controller for Regnskap Norge, where he conducted audits of nearly 100 approved accounting firms – ranging from small operators to large enterprises with over 1,000 employees. This experience has given him deep insight into the accounting industry, as well as extensive knowledge of quality assurance and efficient accounting processes. This expertise ensures that clients at Hægland & Svanberg receive top-quality advisory services.

Christer holds a Master of Science in Business Administration (Siviløkonom) from BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo, specializing in business law, taxation, and accounting. In addition, he has pursued executive education in leadership at INSEAD Executive Education in Fontainebleau, France. He also holds an International Baccalaureate Bilingual Diploma from Bergen Cathedral School and has been a state-authorized accountant since 2012.
